Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is trying to get rid of Syrian refugees he has been using as an excuse for war and as pawns in blackmailing Europe.
Turkish President President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke in the 45th Village Heads Meeting and implied that he doesn’t want the Syrian refugees anymore.
Erdoğan, who has been using the refugees as an excuse for the invasion in Syria and against Europe as blackmail and threats, said: “Obviously we will not be keeping the 3.5 million here forever.”
Erdoğan admitted to the Turkish invasion in Syria and attempted to legitimize it, saying, “We have taken two thousand square kilometers under our control.”
“Our Syrian brothers have returned to their lands here as well,” claimed Erdoğan, and added: “And now we want to do the same in Afrin.”
Erdoğan failed to explain the connection between Syrian refugees and Afrin – which already stands out as a region that hosts refugees from all over Syria fleeing the war.
The Erdoğan regime has been attacking Afrin since January 20 along with the gangs they gathered. During these attacks, many crimes of war have been committed. Over 150 civilians have been killed, hundreds have been wounded, hundreds of civilian homes and infrastructure units have been destroyed or damaged.
Erdoğan also claimed that his soldiers who have committed atrocities and failed to advance in 20 days of operation are “writing an epic”.
