Shexorze village and the surrounding hills in Afrin’s Bilbile district have been cleared of Turkish army and its gangs.
The General Command of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that Shexorze village and surroundings in Afrin’s Bilbile district have been cleared of Turkish army and its gangs following three days of clashes.
“Military units under the YPG, the largest component of SDF, have mounted a great resistance against the invading Turkish army and allied terrorist groups in Shexorze village over the past three days.
As a result of this resistance, enemy forces have been expelled from the region, and the village and surrounding hills have been cleared completely. We as SDF Central Command congratulate all our commanders, fighters and brave YPG/YPJ forces that took part in this heroic resistance.
We commemorate our martyrs Botan Efrin and Welat Heleb who fought with a spirit of sacrifice. They wrote and epic of bravery and resistance with their blood, gave a lesson of commitment to resistance. We remember all the martyrs of freedom struggle in the person of our two comrades, and we promise to continue their struggle until the invading Turkish state and allied terrorist groups have been expelled from every inch of Afrin region.”
